We are not residents in Spain and spend about 4/5 months here a year over a period of time.  We have recently read that we can put our British registered car on Tourist plates, paying appropriate taxes, and leave it here, rather than keep driving it back UK for MOT and tax.  Is this system still in place, as the book we read it in was dated 2006.
